Mini – 2016 Tires

Ended 2016 with 114 runs on the Mini’s tires, slightly down from the last couple of years. As expected, the RE71Rs wore very quickly. Impressively, the tires still had grip, so very pleased with these tires.

Evo Repair: Brake Air Guides

A small update – was wavering back and forth a little on installing these before the end of the season. Penultimate event in the Evo today. Still sorting out some braking issues, and after the 2nd run the pads already started smoking. I’m going to reinstall the brake air guides, which I had been waiting on. The brakes are also a little too soft, so I’m going to bleed the brakes again one more time…

Amsoil SS Lines

Installed Amsoil SS Lines as part of a long effort to fix the brake pedal feel in the Evo. Straightforward process where the hard brake lines screw into the SS lines. Only difficulty was getting it to hold in the right position to screw everything in easily.
