CCSCC 11132016 – 2016 Finale!

Final event of the year today for CCSCC – brought the Evo out after fixing the brake softness to see if the brake smoking would also be fixed – it was not, and these pads are officially done. They overheated at the last track day and something about the pads on the passenger’s side just can’t take any heat anymore. The evo was stopping okay, albeit fairly inconsistently. Hoping the new set of pads I have (defigo) will handle the task a little better for next year.

Made a few minor setup changes on the Evo – rear sway bar back to soft setting from middle, and shocks set a little stiffer all around. Primarily raced in the Street/Snow setting, as the car was unsettled in a few spots. Overall, the car did okay for being in the very cold 1st heat on this November day. Not sure how I did index-wise, but I won the bumped STX/STR/STU class for a trophy. Great end to the year, with a handful of adjustments planned for next year. Will make a separate post on 2017’s to-do’s next
