Back to autox in the VN. The car felt ok, though it feels like it just lacks grip. I think the raised ambient improves the balance but doesn’t do much in terms of peak grip improvement. Based on the feel of the tire, these reach peak grip in the rears on track – the fronts overheat, and in autox, neither axle gets up to temp. The rears at track felt gooey, but at no other point do the tires really feel like that. I think the RZs will be a big improvement, so just waiting to burn off this set before I grab new tires. With the long waits between runs the tires were back down to nearly ambient levels which meant no grip for the start of the run. Beyond that, I need to do a better job of looking ahead on course.
