Penultimate event in the Evo today. Still sorting out some braking issues, and after the 2nd run the pads already started smoking. I’m going to reinstall the brake air guides, which I had been waiting on. The brakes are also a little too soft, so I’m going to bleed the brakes again one more time & pull the titanium shims and see how the brakes feel after that.
Car felt pretty good overall, a hair loose but manageable (2nd video). Bogged pretty hard off the line my 6th run but was still my fastest, clean or dirty. I think the car will benefit from wider tires once these are done. The camber increase was noticeable, but I wasn’t sure quite how to utilize it. The car can definitely enter corners faster, so I’ll explore that a little next week for the final event of the year @ CCSCC.
