BSCC 10082017

Struggled to find any time after my second run – not sure why, but one thing is that I can definitely brake less in a few spots – not all spots, but there are a few key places I can brake a little less and carry more speed. Things to work on (Evo): Line, looking…

Evo Mid-Season Improvements

Few minor changes for mid-2017: Lightweight Battery – losing about 25lbs in the front/top of the car directly in front of the driver Thrust bearings – Used instead of torrington bearings to help spring rotate. Torrington bearings are all 2.5″, just a little too tight for the 65mm (2.56″) swifts & ohlins. Adjusted front suspension…

CCSCC 08132017

Very, very tough course today. When people are struggling to get clean runs on the board, usually a sign that it’s a bad course. Apparently the course was opened up and vastly improved from yesterday, which was surprising. Course was not friendly for cars set up for larger, more open courses. With 2-3 turn arounds,…

CCSCC 06252017

About a month since my last full event: had not been too satisfied with the evo’s braking performance, and theorized part of this could be due to rev hang. If the car’s revs are hanging instead of dropping, at the very least I lose the assistance of engine braking and at worst the car’s rev…

CCSCC 04232017

First CCSCC of the year – not a huge fan of the course, it felt cramped & unnecessarily tight, but I did what I could in the Evo. Started a really great 4th run before getting red flagged, and I couldn’t pick it up after that. Did decently (4th raw, 9th index, 9,630pp) but I…

BSCC 04092017

Second event on the Evo’s new setup. Encountered some push after tires got hot, but not too bad, and was mitigated by setting the ACD to gravel. A lot to try – I may set the rear bar to the stiffest setting and/or pull back rear toe. For now, I think I will leave it…

2017 Start! GAX 03192017

Kicking off the first event of the year! Got some decent weather for the Gateway Autocross event, though the lot was cold & dirty, as would be expected for the first event. Pretty exhausted for the event, got in late the night prior from a 3+ day MBA orientation. Everything felt about the same with…

WedsSport TC105N – 17×9.5!

2017 plans slowly coming together – first major change, moving from OEM 17×8 BBSs to 17×9.5 WedsSport TC105Ns. Wheels look much better in person than they did in pictures. Despite being 1.5″ wider, they are roughly 16.3lbs, 1.5lbs lighter than the OEM wheel. Will move from 245/45-17s on OEM wheels to 255/40-17s, hopefully see a…
