First time trying out the CSCC in Columbus, IN and I must say it was a good time. From the videos I saw of the site I wasn’t sure how it was going to be. The lot is pretty broken up and will probably need repair soon, but it served it’s purpose. If it weren’t so far I’d like to go back. Really good practice for slaloms and transitions. I was going back and forth with one of the other Mini drivers at the site (R. Hall), but ultimately he got me by about 4 tenths. I had a pretty decent run that I coned for no reason, and the rest were a bit off pace of that.
As far as I can tell from my fastest clean run, I need to be smoother with my inputs overall. I didn’t brake enough for the first 90 degree turn, which led to some scrubbing and prevented my from getting on the gas earlier. In general, I was a little late for most of the elements on the back stretch. At my current skill level, there was probably another 0.5s or so to be had on top of this run.
