With the recent loss of the brake ducting, I’ve returned to relying on the OEM brake air guides for the Evo. From what I understand, in conjunction with the undertray, these should work pretty well. Interestingly enough, looks like my lower flap had broken off on the driver’s side. Never noticed – probably happened after going off track or running over a cone. There’s a perforation on the back of it for the lower piece to snap off with ease.
I shaved off the upper edges of the ones on the car in order to make more room for the ducts. Now that they’re gone, I figure I need all the help I can get, including the upper edges that point toward to rotor. Air is lazy, so we need to get as close as we can before we open up the space.
