Another event with my fastest run being my first. On hot days, this seems to be common with my setup, even on the old tires before, where the car cooperated decently on the first run, then fell off after. The car feels very different, and starts pushing more as the runs go on. I sprayed the tires, which helped a little in the 90 degree weather.

Ultimately, couldn’t pull off a clean fast run, just a so-so final run. The car needs to be set up much looser, with the bumpstops in the front probably cut. Hopefully Fat Cat Motorsports has something in store for the shocks as well.

As far as driving goes however, likewise with the Evo, I think what I need to do is focus more on getting the line down and driving the line – not so much emphasis on what the car is doing.
