Rav4 UOA #1

Turned out pretty well here. Per the comments from Blackstone, the UOA was on par or better than the universal averages, which change oil @ 6,700mi, compared to my run on 10,000mi. I just wanted to do one UOA with the Rav4 to make sure it was a healthy motor, and that seems to be…

A small update – was wavering back and forth a little on installing these before the end of the season. They definitely got destroyed over time at autox, running over cones etc. However, with the evo (passenger’s side) brakes smoking over the last two events, thought I’d throw them on to see if it helps…

Amsoil SS Lines

Installed Amsoil SS Lines as part of a long effort to fix the brake pedal feel in the Evo. Straightforward process where the hard brake lines screw into the SS lines. Only difficulty was getting it to hold in the right position to screw everything in easily.

Evo Late Season Updates

Been battling a lot of things later in the season with this car, but none more so than the brakes. The latest string of upgrades haven’t nailed down the ‘air in lines’ vs ‘something wrong’ battle, but I have to say I’m very pleased with how the Evo brakes turned out. Ran into a bit…

Corolla UOA #3 09172016 – Redline 0w20

This wraps up any experimenting I wanted to do with oils for the Corolla. Decent results coming out here, even with a shorter run in mind. Used Redline 0w20 for the next run as well, but realistically I’ll probably just use whatever is laying around for this car moving forward, and just change annually or…
