Suspension Set Up – FCM

Just a small update here – Spoke with Shaikh @ Fat Cat Motorsports last night regarding some of the suspension tuning and set up. I don’t want to give too much away here, as that is information privy to our sponsorship/technically a paid consulting service but: To recap, I sent Bilstein Sport (B8) dampers over…

Parts! Round 2

Last set of parts have arrived! These parts took nearly an entire month to arrive – these are: JCW Front and Rear springs, matched to my VIN # JCW Front Sway Bar FSB Bushings Front and Rear bump stops (which I actually don’t think I need…) All that’s left to wait on now are the…

More Parts!

More parts are here! The fourth and final Bilstein strut and the Schroth Quick Fit driver’s side harness for the MINI! Pics below. All that’s left now are the springs and FSB, and shipping out the Bilsteins to Fat Cat Motorsports to get custom valved.

First Sponsorship “Package” Arrived

Received this from Turner Motorsport today – two stickers to run on the rear windows per our agreement. Not a bad deal to start a relationship with a company as successful as Turner Motorsport! As of 2/23/2015, Turner Motorsport and I have amicably ended our sponsorship relationship. Best of luck to them!

Parts Received

Under the Car

Some under the car pics. Struggling to put miles on the car – I think I’m right around 360 miles, so haven’t changed the oil or filled the tank yet even. Doing a moderate break-in, been WOT a few times, and went to 5k rpms recently. Will continue that until 1000mi, then do somewhat of…

’08 to ’13 MINI Comparison

After having the new MINI for about a week now, I can definitely comment that everything feels “tighter” in the suspension (not in the understeering sense). Most likely this is due to brand new bushings all around the suspension compared to my ’08 with nearly 100,000 miles on it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it…
