2022 Veloster N DCT – Miscellaneous

Just a rolling post of misc adds/upgrades for the VN.

March 2025: Just added wheel center cap stickers from Aliexpress that fit the Konigs perfectly. They’re pretty high quality too, seems like a metal back + sticky backside. Hopefully they hold on. Also – for camera mounting purposes, I added a shower curtain rod that can be extended to fit between the floor & the roof liner tightly. I’m not sure this is going to pass tech, so I’m going to tech before I put it in the car.

March 2025: Oil change to Valvoline SAE 10w30 & DCT fluid to Motul DCTF, 15,257 miles. Windshield replaced due to crack forming on the drive to parents, 15,300. Clay barred, ceramic coated, spray ceramic wax on top.

February 2025: Fake sound generator removed. Was causing minor NVH in the car, a little bit too much vibration. Apparently, this gets worse as time goes on. Decided to nip it in the bud. Removed and set aside for now. Car is definitely a touch less buzzy during idle and acceleration. I haven’t driven the car hard yet so I’m not sure how much sound or vibration it would make during racing.

December 2024: New Reverse Lights – the stock appear to be super dim, so I’m trying some nicely designed LED ones. Should be a solid pickup in light output.

December 2024: Few more miscellaneous things just for livability – cushions for the seats for longer trips, the dog seat/rear seat setup, e-pass, a dash cam, and a phone mount.

November 2024: First thing I do with every car I get is wash, clay bar, ceramic coat, wax. The car already came with Weathertech floor liners and Continental DWS06+ (which I would have done anyway), so aside from modifications, the car was fairly set.
