Nagisa Fender Braces (Evo)

The next part of upgrades made for the Evo are the Nagisa Fender Braces. These braces reinforce the next weakest part of the chassis, connecting the body of the car to the front support structure. These have been well documented as far as making a difference in terms of how the car turns in. Obviously I haven’t done an event with these braces yet, but they should provide improved rigidity and turn in. The stiffer the chassis is, the better the suspension can work. I didn’t notice much on the ride home – the bumps in the front may be a little more pronounced, but that was it. The steering also felt a touch heavier, but nothing major. Each brace weighed about 2.9lbs, so a total of 5.8lbs added in the front. To offset this, I added another part – the Boosted Fab crossmember brace. Some drilling was required, but otherwise it reused the bolts holding the door on and tucks itself neatly under the fender.
